An online resource for exploring the history of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro

On February 7, 1981, fifty black alumni of UNCG met in the Alumni House to form the Black Alumni Council as a branch of the UNCG Alumni Association. The purpose of their organization was to promote the education of black students, support the recruitment of minority students, and encourage black alumni to support the work of the University and the Alumni Association.
