The UNCG Honors Program began in 1947 and was renamed the Lloyd International Honors College in 2006. It is an independent academic enhancement program geared toward motivated, talented incoming first-year students pursuing all majors. There are three residence halls on the UNCG campus (North Spencer, South Spencer, and Gray) which are designated specifically as housing for honors students.
