An online resource for exploring the history of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro

In the Spring of 2003, the name of UNCG’s Women’s Studies Program, which first offered courses in 1974, was changed to Women’s and Gender Studies to reflect a growing trend in women’s studies programs across the country. The new name also more accurately represented the Program’s evolving scope.
